Welcome
Welcome to the new home of Radio Graffiti. Stop by for my musings on pop culture and politics. You can also find my features on News Junkie Post where I am the entertainment editor/writer as well as who will win the 2012 election and a slew of other sites. If you need a creative kick in the pants, check out my inspirational advice and coaching quips at Scribblers Folly.
A pop culture junkie, I’ve talked my way onto the radio as a talk show host and DJ on a motley collection of stations & networks, so I’d like to make the Radio Graffiti experience as interactive as possible. Your comments are encouraged, as are your suggestions about people, events and productions you think deserve attention. As someone who has worked within the media and the arts, I know how important it is to generate buzz and I’d like to help folks who are whirling below the mainstream radar find fans, followings, funding. So along with my wry takes on those fueling the 24/7 pop media matrix, I hope to showcase worthy indie artists, too.
If you don’t know me yet, here’s a brief background:
Along with my radio gigs, my journalism credits include stints as a TV & theatre critic & freelancer for a batch of publications & Internet outlets. Also a fiction writer and playwright, my plays have been produced in festivals in NYC & across the country and featured in anthologies. Credits include: Psychic Chicken Soup( McClaren Comedy Award nominee); Full Moon, Saturday Night; The Postman Always Writes Twice; Rage Amongst Yourselves; Listening to Insomnia & The Lost Mertz. I also have two and a half forthcoming novels. If I can get my blogging addiction under control I’ll soon have three. I have also written comedy, PR and ghost written and edited various non-fiction projects.
I also have a Masters in Counseling and have done post grad work in English/Creative Writing & Personal Coaching. So I also enjoy working as a creativity coach, facilitating writing workshops and helping people find their voices.
Thanks for being part of Radio Graffiti: where pop culture and politics collide at the speed of life. I hope you’ll join in the creative conversation.
Drive safe. Play nice. Think peace.
